Have to wait a long time to get my Amazon order

When I had placed an order on Amazon yesterday it said that the estimated delivery window is between October 18th and November 5th. That was because of one of the books I ordered. It probably isn’t available yet.
I was hoping that everything would come around October 18th but I just checked the status of the order and it says estimated delivery is now November 4th instead of November 5th. That’s a very long wait to receive my order.
Would’ve been great if they delivered everything but that book right now and that book whenever it became available. I doubt that it’s going to happen though.

If they are coming Media Mail, that is usually slower delivery.

It’s because of the book I ordered for myself that is causing this.

I hope something like this happens to me.

I hope you get your order as soon as possible. Can you ask for the book to be delivered later after the other things are delivered?

You can cancel the entire order since they aren't sending it until then. It shouldn't be difficult, and they will credit your account. It sounds like the item you are waiting on is coming from a private seller, through Amazon.

I want the book that I ordered that’s causing this delay so don’t want to cancel the order. I can get it at Barnes & Noble online but I’ll have to pay shipping, which I don’t want to do.
