A couple of days ago a friend of mine from my hometown texted me to announce that the school were my father worked as a school principal many years ago decided to name one of the buildings of the school in his name. They invited me to attend the unveiling ceremony for this occasion as their guest to witness this occasion and as the representative of my father. I was deeply touched by this effort of the school to remember and honor my father’s memory in that school. It was my alma mater as well that’s why it’s a kind of sentimental to me as well.

Well he was a former student and worked his way from being a working student to finish his college degree. Then after graduation he was hired as a teacher there and taught secondary education specifically physics then i know my father also taught in college after the school sent him to further education in a prestigious university here and took masteral course in physics. Then after that he returned back to them to teach in college after. When he married my mother he was already being groomed to be an assistant principal. But then he got to work with government that is why he remained a college professor only. After several years he got back in as principal for many years until he retired. I guess for returning to his alma mater the school recognized his loyalty and dedication to the school.

@MarieCoyle I think he was but when he was a teacher back then I have witnessed that his former students were very loyal to him that even when he retired they would still recognize him by his former students who were all successful professionals now. I guess I prefer him as a very friendly person that anyone could approach him easily back then.
