My girl the guidance secretary over at another high school in the district always hooks me up. She knows I'll take anything I can do and, well, apparently the science department teachers there don't want to do them. Fine with me! This is for a freshman and it is earth science. Not my area of expertise but you don't need a specific certification for it. So far the total is going to be 4 hours so that's an extra $183. Not bad for sitting here talking to my laptop. I hope she keeps 'em coming!

No. There are many classes that require a specific degree and certification. Biology, chemistry, and physics come to mind for science. I took 15 credits of chemistry but I can't teach it.You need to have a science cert but not a specific one for earth science, environmental science, forensic science, and anatomy & physiology. So I can tutor several disciplines but not all of them.
