The dry claypan that was Lake Perkolilli is now under water

I posted yesterday about the Red Dust Revival where people race their ancient cars on a claypan. Luckily, the week-long event has just finished as they’ve had unseasonal heavy rains out there and the lake is now covered in 6 inches of water. Those who didn’t leave when rain was forecast might have trouble getting their vehicles off the lake.
I posted a photo of a Falcon Knight that was going out to race and this photo shows the rescue greyhound that the folk owned. Her name was Rosie and she was a lovely friendly dog.

Oh boy! A 6" deep lake! Sort of like the wading pools towns used to have in parks, that were turned into sprinkler thingies because they were afraid some kid might drown.
Is there a chance the "lake" may remain until the next rainfall?

Wow! 6 inches of water definitely poses a problem. Rosie is a cute girl.
