Members of the Kansas City Fire Department answered an emergency call on Friday October 3 when three persons were inside of an apartment building that caught fire. When the firefighters arrived on scene around 5 am, four persons who were outside the apartment building told the fire chief Michael Hopkins that two adults and a child were inside of the three story building. The fire was going through the roof when the firefighters using hand held water hoses to douse the fire. Thank goodness that no one was injured in the house fire. The three persons that were rescued by the firefighters will have temporary housing courtesy of the American Red Cross. The cause of the fire is being investigated by the authorities... That is true that the Red Cross does not get enough praise from the news media for their good deeds in helping people in need.

They would be thankful the Red Cross provided them with temporary housing, after such a disaster with their current dwelling.
