Mistake or sin?

My sister was invited by a friend yesterday. Her son had done well and as sister had tutored him once, the mother felt, she should give her a treat.
So, last evening when she gave me this, I gave in to my indulgences immediately as I had not had it for a long time. It was unexpected. Added to it was a butterscotch cone.
This meant that dinner need not be prepared.
More relaxation.
So this has lots of saturated fat, lots and lots of cottage cheese, sauce and other ingredients and ice cream has milk and sugar.
When we get casual with such indulgences, the body protests. At a time when care is taken to keep the body active and healthy, was it required?
Mind says, 'You were at home most of the time, didn't eat anything outside, didn't spend time outside, throughout the vacation, so this is allowed..'
Should I consider it a mistake or a sin?
