The Trump administration is absolutely shameless

I mean it is also evil, corrupt, etc. It is really amazing (and not in a good way) how shameless they are about flaunting/breaking the law. Trump signed the Government Employees Fair Treatment Act in 2019 which guaranteed retroactive pay to ALL federal employees (furloughed and "excepted" aka essential) when the government reopens after a shutdown. Trump. Signed. It. Yesterday the Mad Red Hatter said that maybe not all of them would receive retro. If they were "his" people they would be taken care of but those who were not maybe would not. That is just evil. Only federal employees who support him would get paid when the law requires that ALL OF THEM receive back pay. Now if you look at the Office of Management and Budget's FAQ about shutdowns it has been revised to state that excepted/essential workers will receive retro pay. It was changed just before the shutdown began. Um, that is against the law. The Trump administration is trying to say that the law only applied to the 2019 shutdown but that of course is not how laws work. They know damn well that a zillion people have the original version of the FAQ and can see what they are trying to pull. They just don't care. The whole administration is disgusting, corrupt, and criminal. Great job MAGA! Sure hope you aren't a furloughed federal worker!

I am hoping the 25th Amendment will be invoked soon. Have you seen what is going on in my native Chicago?
