Were not earth quake proof

Philippines
October 9, 2025 11:57pm CST
I was buying food for my lunch and one of the staff kept asking about what's happening in Mindanao Island. So after doing some errands I went to check and shocked to see another earth quake this time in Mindanao. So far we have experience storms here in the Luzon area. So far we have fixed the roof at backyard. Sadly, we have a crack wall and it's not surprising we might experience collapse part of the house if earth quake happens here. We are so not ready for emergency supplies Be safe every one.

I’ve seen news of a couple of terrible earthquakes, with the most recent one spawning tsunami warnings. Prayers for your country!

Yeah, tsunami warnings are normal @FourWalls sadly those who got the warning probably didn't take it seriously except the quakes.

How many did you guys get with. I am sure there was after shocks, but think I saw another 7.4 just off the coast. Most places not built for them, but big earthquakes can happen anywhere at any time even if most places never experienced them. Be safe buddy and hope you guys are all right.

As long as we are part of the ring of fire We will also have quakes @crossbones27 it's only we recent that were starting to get it. Unlike Japan who often had often. So people are very much shocked.

The thing after Cebu quake was that there was a quake that happened in Benguet before though it wasnt reported much since the quake was not that significantly strong. Now another strong quake happening in Mindanao. I think it’s just right now that we prepare at all costs because the quake is happening everywhere near us.

That should have also been reported @rsa101 Yeah I guess I spoke too soon. That's a real mistake that most people do. But at least students and other Government agencies had done their Quake drills before the real thing happens.

No. I don't think anyone is calamity proof. We can only prepare so much and pray that it will not stike us hard.

There's nothing to be sorry about @MarieCoyle it's nature. Perhaps people had not been taking it seriously lately because of the other news that came out before the quakes.

@Letranknight2015 I hope someday technology advances enough to know when earthquakes are very likely to happen, and where. But I know that will take a lot more advancement. Yes, you have to take it seriously, and be ready for the maybe that could happen.
