We free-camped two nights at Baladjie Rock which is in the eastern wheatbelt of Western Australia. It’s not far from one small town but quite isolated from anywhere else. There was a supermoon last night. We climbed partway up the rock and both got some nice photos of it. We then had to scramble very carefully down off the rock again.
There are a lot of salt lakes in the area and when Vince’s brother went there, there was no water in the lake. if there hadn’t been some light cloud around, we might have got better reflections in the water.

Our eastern coastline is experiencing King Tides right now, which are unusually high tides that cause severe coastal flooding due to the super moon.

@JudyEv I believe part of it has to do with the moon’s proximity to earth. I believe right now it is at its closest point, which gives it a stronger gravitational pull.

@moffittjc I'm sure you're right. Once you mentioned it I remember learning something about that at school.

@LindaOHio Thanks. I was a bit cross when I couldn't show it.

That sounds like a lot of fun, and a little dangerous. I have trouble walking on level ground, I don’t know about climbing rocks. (But then, I walked out in the Mississippi River last year, and that involved walking on wet rocks!) Can’t wait to see the pictures!!!
