Sneaking in the fall festival today before the weather gets too dreary. That coastal low should be coming in towards late afternoon early evening time frame. Actually a friend of mine had invited a couple of us to go to the book festival in Charlottesville today but it didn't seem like it would work out. Where she lives is a hike from here anyway Besides, I don't need any books.

Good morning! It's a dreary cool and misty day here in north Florida. I'm getting ready to head out to an art festival in our town, I want to get there early before the crowds and also just in case any bad weather moves in later in the day (we have a stalled cold front sitting over us).

@snowy22315 I had a great time at the art festival today! I ended up purchasing 4 different works of art. I usually try to limit myself to one piece per art festival, but there were some great finds today.

@moffittjc Pretty nice, didn't do a lot but I did enjoy the festival. The only purchase I made there however, was the barbecue sandwich. They did have freebies around though. Every booth seemed to be giving away Halloween candy.

Oh, a book festival sounds wonderful....I dearly love books. But I don't really need any, either, right now. A Fall Festival sounds like fun!

@MarieCoyle Giving away books to me almost feels like giving away children. Sometimes I think you have to be ruthless though

I could look at books all day if my legs held out. I have always loved looking at them. I have some books I will never give up, but many I have passed on, sold, or given to the kids. I just keep the favorites or the ones I haven't read (which isn't but one at this time!)

I like those free little libraries they have here where you can exchange books. I bring 2 or 3 and take one

@snowy22315 - We had those in Switzerland, there are two not far from here. I have books ready to bring there and to take some. Wee should go on Monday, I want to buy something there.

@LadyDuck I haven't checked on the one near me lately. I think it is still there, but they are trying to build houses in the area.
