Semi-truck accident spills applesauce on a highway / myLot

Illinois State Police answered an emergency call of a semi-truck that overturned on Interstate 57 northbound in Franklin County on Monday overnight that spilled applesauce which closed the road for a few hours. A company named Rick's Towing which is from Mount Vernon assisted the state police to clean up the mess on the road. The good news is that no one was hurt in the single semi-truck accident which happened before the start of the workday. I am sure that the authorities will investigate the cause of the accident. In my view I think it may have driver error since the accident happened at night. Link is upi.com/1981759850222 via @upi

It's good to know that no one was hurt. The driver must have fallen asleep.

I watched this on our news when it happened, It's way down in southern IL so quite far away from me, but hey, it made the news. The news commentator said that there was so much applesauce everywhere, 46,000 pounds of it! I can't even imagine the mess. When they showed the pictures on TV, they had firetrucks that were going to try to spray it off the interstate so it wouldn't be slippery. What a huge mess!
