Sam's Club

It has been five years since we let our Sam's membership go. Bob has been wanting a new one. We got a letter in the mail asking us to renew by October 27, and we had Sam's Club Cash ($1 or so) we could apply toward's it. At customer service the person helping us said the letter was inaccurate. Now we always had had the basic membership, but my friend Jane had the + membership that gave her free shipping over $50, plus Sam's Cash. Because we had never had one we got it for half price, this time. I can see where it is likely to be handy to have certain things shipped to us. Things like toilet paper. We had "lunch" at the cafe in store. Just a little over $3.50 for nice big all beef hot dogs and our drinks. Not really balanced or healthy but it was tasty. I did not want to buy three pounds of green bananas, so that is why we stopped at the Dillon's store on our way home. That is where Bob helped the man who fell getting out of his car. I guess that catches us up for Thursday activities. We were just mostly looking around. The store is huge, and was crowded. We did get some things for me to have on hand for lunches if I work all day at school. Tuna salad kits for under $1.00 each. No need to refrigerate. To tell the truth, not everything is a bargain at Sam's, but it is nice to have the option, and also to be able to order stuff and have it shipped to us if we need to. I have never been to a Costco or BJ's Club store. I imagine they are much the same.

My relatives and myself were members of Sam's Club. It is a nice story even though we shop at Wal Mart.

Sometimes you can get the same deal at either place.

I’m single, so buying bulk at Sam’s wouldn’t work for me. Hope you get good deals.

You are probably right. On the other hand, getting stuff delivered might be nice. I need to see how that works.

Costco costs more, but I like it more than Sam's There is alot more organization in the store you don't see with Sam's or BJ's

We do not have BJ's in this part of the country. I have heard that Costco is better than Sam's.

I think you get your good bargains at the auction.

Honestly, for one person I do not think it would pay.

We seldom go to Sam's club because it seems like I can find better bargains at Walmart. Those hot dogs sure sound good, though.

My parents were always Sam’s Club people. Until recently, there wasn’t even a Costco near us.

They built a Costco in Wichita sometime in the last ten years, but the membership is more than Sam's.

Don't have a Sam's Club near me. Mom used to have a Costco membership.

It's good to have a choice at least.

Choice is important. I could spend all day running from bargain store to bargain store in Wichita, but time is a precious commodity for me. If I ever retire it would work.

We have Costco here , although we don’t use it. It’s good that you joined Sam’s club again , sounds like you are going to get lots of bargains.
