Cucumber in bengal is eaten both as a vegetable curry and also as a salad. Bittergourd is eaten either in boiled form or a curry is made. Both these farms are awesome. The vegetables bulge down from the top of the plants in the plantation. A lot of watering is required.

I had had once at someone's place but didn't like it that much. I've heard it's a favorite to many. Is there a special way to prepare it? It's strange that just the other day I was talking about it to my sister in some context and here stumbled upon this topic today.

@mytunemagic thanks Aparajita Bhattacharjee the bittergourd is cooked with potatoes and in that form it can be eaten very well with rice. The cucumber curry is cooked with coconut and can also be eaten with rice

I love cucumber as a salad vegetable, but I’ve never tried it in a curry. I’ve never heard of a bittergourd. I don’t think it’s something that is available in the UK?
