Is water actually wet or does it just make things wet? / myLot

Any scientists in the house? This is akin to whether there's such a thing as darkness or is it merely the absence of light. When you take a shower is the water wet coming out of the showerhead or is it making you wet when it hits your body? Is water wet?

Water is not wet, it is liquid, it makes things wet sticking on their surface.

I have heard this debate for decades. I don't know the answer. lol. I do know that it has always been said that soap makes water wetter. I guess that's actually a thing, and why soap works to remove dirt.
