In India we have an identification proof called Adhaar card. At times you may need to update your address or your phone number in it. I too need to update my phone number. I downloaded the form, filled it up and went to submit it at the Adhaar card center. There I was asked to come the next day as there were too many people. I have to go tomorrow again at 9.30 am. Really disgusting! Just imagine if a person is old and has some ailments, it's just a harassment that may even lead to a person's death. The government of India should make updating online which a person can do sitting at home.

This does sound very inconvenient.

I agree. and to think that India is advance regarding IT and online apps. . Perhaps, if someone will suggest it to your government. Sometimes government officials belong to the older generation so they're not aware of technological updates, unless some younger people call their attention.

You're right, Under certain conditions people who can't walk long distances will easily get tired. Meanwhile, here, all systems can be operated online. So, there's no need to wait in line; we can pick up immediately when the update are finished.

You are correct, they should consider the needs of those who have trouble getting around and especially their elderly One thing I have trouble with is standing for long periods of time and when I had to go in person to renew my driver license I had to do that, it was irritating but necessary.
