Contemplating Getting a Newer Car

Every once in a while hubby and I think about trading cars. He has a couple of times in the last few years, but I've had my vehicle for 5 1/2 years.
I like SUVs. There's about 6 or 8 that I would lean toward and like how they look. About half of them are actually within my affordability range.
But I happened to notice a Toyota Grand Highlander today and I liked it. A lot. The car lot that's owned by our long-time family friend has a 2024 one with 14,000 miles on it for a reasonable price. It's the color I like. I may have to go have a look at it.
That being said, I do still really like the car I have that's a 2020 with only 25,000 miles on it, so I don't actually NEED a different car.
We'll see.

I don't like car payments. I like to drive vehicles until the wheels fall off. That being said, I really want to upgrade to an F-250 or F-350 diesel since it would be more ideal for pulling the camper. But the truck is paid off, so I am very reluctant.
I'd like to at least get a Lariat. But King Ranch is REALLY what I want, and the latter would REALLY set me back. But if I could find a good deal and get 10+ years out of it?
I MIGHT consider it.
It's not like I don't have the money. I just don't have the desire to spend it. lol

Right, I get it. I never have a car payment. I always pay cash.

I have trouble getting into a Highlander. It's high for me. It's a good car though. We've had Toyotas in the past.

Highlanders are great vehicles. I’m with you: sedans sit too low for older backs.
