Thanks to the work of the Ventura County and Oxnard Fire Department who answered an emergency call about a puppy who was in a pile of debris and vegetation when floodwaters were about to surround her. Firefighters with the Oxnard Fire Department and Ventura County used a 35 foot ladder to rescue the puppy who is female and a mixed French Bulldog mix or a pug away from the danger zone. The firefighters took the puppy to the Ventura County Animal Services where they are hoping that someone will come to reunite with her since the puppy does not have any identification on her possession. Hopefully, it will find a loving home if an owner is not around. Puppies usually get adopted quickly.

Glad the little dog was okay. I think that a little puppy should have been on a leash when outside.

I am in agreement with you that dogs should be on leashes when they are outside of the home.

The puppy most likely was taken away by the flood water.

There must be a lot of pets that go missing when there are floods in an area.

Floods do create a lot of dogs going missing a lot.
