I have had these prickly pear cactus in pots. But it was getting very hard to carry them in and out of the house even with them staked up. I finally had the idea to put them in a tote. Now I can tilt it and drag. I am going to plant them next year if my starts survive. I have finally figured out where I want them.
We have had rain this morning
. We needed it. And that means I don't need to water the bushes today. But the temperature will be dropping all day. So I will be walking inside. I need to do some cleaning too. My escape room and maybe the bathroom I think.
Hope you have a good day.

They are supposed to. A friend said her neighbor has some outside.

Totes sound good. Where will you keep them in the winter?

I keep them in my escape room. It gets plenty of light.

My grandmother had this type of cactus in a small pot on the windowsill just above the kitchen sink. It thrived there for decades. Bloomed each year.
