I guess one of the hot button issues statewide is the Attorney General's race which seems to be affecting the gubenatorial election which is also going on. Jay Jones the Democrat is accused of sending horrible texts about his political opponents. I mean if he wanted to say something like this privately to a friend that would be one thing, but making it public not only shows the fact to me that he isn't a very nice person, but also that he is stupid with a lack of judgment. I wouldn't want someone that stupid as Attorney General. sad to say.
Locally, the data centers which are largely owned by Amazon as far as I can tell are making waves, because of noise and potential harm to the environment. There is one being built here that is enormous. I am not sure when it will be fully operational but it is happening. Once approved by the Board of "Stupidvisors" as some like to call them, not much can be done.

@snowy22315 - Very local news are about over-tourism around the lake Como. The Mayor of Como is developing an Italian plan by considering a tourist tax similar to Venice's fee.

In my State, a middle aged woman went missing and thank God she was found safe. It made me so happy to read it on the Atlanta News.

That is lucky. Did she have dementia, or was she just lost hiking or something?

I am not familiar with the issue you stated. I hope that will be settled properly.
As for us here in the Philippines, not all Filipinos abroad know about how the government is doing a good job because of various fake news.
The fact is that the President, Ferdinand Marcos Jr., ordered agencies to mobilize resources for immediate relief. The Department of Budget and Management (DBM) urged agencies to tap into Quick Response Funds (QRF) for faster relief and rehabilitation immediately after the quake. Local and national agencies were activated: medical teams, damage assessments, and temporary shelters were quickly established, which is contrary to some reports saying that the present government is doing nothing because of corruption re flood control.

I can't think of any Ohio news. The Cleveland Browns won yesterday; but that's not news of any import. This is an off-year for elections. There was one local levy and a handful of local offices on my Absentee Ballot.

Back in January, our area was invaded by ICE for about ten days, they were accompanied by Dr.Phil. It was all so wrong and not handled well. Then they left. And today, ICE returned without Dr.Phil. There have been many detours, etc. and a lot of traffic problems. I have to go to the heart of the traffic in the city tomorrow for the son to have an ultrasound and an IV. Not looking forward to it but it has to happen.
