I'm really surprised by this move. It was created 11 years ago as a once a week mimic of of the incredibly popular daily show "The Chew" with Mario Batali, Clinton Kelly, Carla Hall, Daphne Oz, and Michael Symon. It is a group show with Geoffrey Zakarian, Jeff Mauro, Sunny Anderson, Katie Lee Biegel and now Alex Guarnaschelli. Each week there is a theme and they demo recipes, show crafty ideas, make cocktails, etc. I was not a fan at first but it has grown on me over the years. I cannot imagine what they will do to fill the 11am Saturday morning time slot. The network has steadily been reducing the actual cooking instruction content and obnoxiously increasing the competitions. Are we going to have Kids Baking Championships on Sat mornings? I won't be watching. The last episode will air on December 13.
The Emmy-nominated show ran for more than 490 episodes and focused on discussing recipes, food trends and family meal tips.

I liked this show. I don't care for some of the baking championship shows, but that's just me...but this show featured real type of foods that were not that complicated and were actually good.

The competitions really have a good following. I think they have too many.

I am surprised. I like that show. That is so much better than Guy Fieri and all his heart attack food

That’s a shame. I’m not a big fan of constant competition shows when they can’t think of anything new, and their good shows get a little pricey. That goes for a lot of networks these days.
