It’s getting to be that time of year again …..almost Christmas and so everyone and his wife are wanting to sell you things and make a bit extra money. I am seeing adverts all over social media for local Christmas fayres ….. So I was wondering if you go to any of these? If so, how do you choose which ones to go to ? I love markets and fayres of any sort …..The Mister, not so much. I therefore have to pick and choose wisely which ones to attend. I like fayres with decorations, food and drink and present ideas.

I don’t think I’ve been to a Christmas fair or market in a very long while.

Right now they had a Halloween carnival with rides, games and treats for all. I took my two cousins and they had a good time.

I've never seen/heard of a Christmas fair in my area.... We have malls and stores but I haven't been to any of those for Christmas shopping in more than 20 years. (Pretty always says she doesn't want anything and if I buy her something anyway, she's not interested in whatever I've found for her. *shrug*)

@traceyjayne I hate Christmas. I’ll be in Manchester for 5 nights mid December to see daughter and her family. Another daughter and boyfriend will be coming from Scotland for the Christmas week but not staying with us. We’ll see both sons during that week too. As for shopping, forget it. That’s what Amazon’s for. I’m just an atrabilious old codger when it comes to Christmas, but I do love reflecting on the incarnation. Then hopefully off to Normandy in January to see my brother.

They don't really interest me much as I wouldn't want to be buying stuff. We have very few to buy gifts for now.
