Another morning, this time with sun.

George just had his inhaler and morning antibotic. I gave him the radio and his pepsi, too. So he's just chilling on the porch. I reminded him we were down to our last gallon of milk, and unless they give us a time, our next opportunity to shop will be Friday because George won't be able to drive after the procedure. It's more than just driving home. It needs to get out of his system completely before he gets behind the wheel.
This is crazy. I'll be glad when we get to what's normal at least.

Ever since he decided he was going to start driving again, we've had a more normal life. The worst was when I couldn't get him off the couch.

@kaylachan - It's not easy to help a man getting off a couch. When my Mom had surgery I also had a hard time lifting her from the couch.

@LadyDuck George was still dangerously underweight then, so I could literally pick him up easily. He's not that much taller than me, so when I've lifted him off the floor, it was easy. Far to easy then it should've been. What I meant was when we first got home from rehab, and for about a year, all George did was go from the bed, to the couch and back again. He would occassionally sit on the porch, but not daily like he is now. One day he decided enough was enough, and he decided he wanted to start living. He started going outside more, he started driving and decided that yes, he wanted to live.

We seem to be doing quite well for ourselves. I had to remind George, that getting the tube out won't fix his leg problem. Using it and working it will.

I got George to agree to go shopping after I made that post, as you saw. So, yes.... we got milk and some more yogert for him to take his antibotics.

I hope you're able to get your milk. I hate the procedures where they call and tell you when to show up. They were doing that to dad and his procedure was in Nashville, two hours away. It didn't work very well.

For me, it's a lot of math and timing. I need to add an addational 30 minutes to our arrival time at a place we don't go often, so George can take breaks.
