For me it’s liver. I’m sure I have mentioned it before. When I was at infant/junior school we had it regularly on the lunch menu. I always left mine. Boy did I get into trouble because of that. Yes, I know it is good for you, yes I know there are people in the world that are hungry ….. But ….. I just can’t stomach liver. Once I was told I couldn’t go out to play if I didn’t eat my liver. ….fine ….i stayed in. It was Winter and I think I got a good deal there ! Another time I was told I couldn’t eat my pudding if I didn’t eat my liver …..I said “ My Mom pays for my dinner and my pudding so I’m going to eat my pudding.” Even at my great age ….i still hate it and can’t eat it. Is there a food that you have never liked ?

I tried bison liver crisps once, and almost threw up. But the food I cannot stomach no matter how hard I’ve tried over the years is cottage cheese.

@AmbiePam my friend did try it once but the texture made her heave. Now she can’t even look at it…..she’s over 50.

I have a friend who can’t even sit at the same table as someone eating cottage cheese.

I also hate liver. I have even tasted liver in pepperoni which ruined it for me. I will only tolerate it in a breakfast meat called Scrapple which has a small amount of pork liver in it.

@Traceyjayne It is a Pennslyvania Dutch dish. I haven;t seen it out of the state of PA, although it may be served in other places.

When someone used to tell me there were hungry children somewhere in the world, I'd tell them to call them and tell them to come and eat whatever I didn't like. NOTHING will get me to eat okra!

@Traceyjayne Mom kept trying to force us to eat okra. After I threw up on the dinner table, dad told her to stop forcing us to eat stuff we didn't like.

I’m with you on that. I’ve never tried okra but many times I’ve seen it, it really looks slimy ! No thank you.

Liver, raw onions, shrimp (can't handle the texture), tripe or anything odd like that.

I’m okay with raw onions ….the big Spanish ones …but I agree with you on all the others.

@Traceyjayne I like crab, lobster and clam strips; but for some reason the texture of a shrimp turns me off.

What I have never liked is eggplant, every time I see it I always feel nauseous.

We had delicious eggplant fritters in Spain last year ….but I only ever use it in mousakka. We call it aubergine here.

My mum told me that her aunt had a vitamin B deficiency disease, can't remember the name... anyway this was in the early 20th century before vitamins had actually been identified and isolated, so the only treatment was to consume pureed raw liver

I can cope with liver. I've never eaten tripe and don't want to but really I don't know if I'd like it or not. It just doesn't appeal to me.

I throw many foods by just having a look on them.
