So the clock on our mantelpiece is 10 minutes slow. I noticed it when I got home today. The batteries must be running out. Have to wait till tomorrow before we can get them replaced.
Til then….well, it’s just annoying me.
I can’t wear my watch as my arm is still swollen, so I have to rely on that clock..
Gggrrrr !!!

I have my PC to tell me the time and a lighted LED clock by my bed and when the time change comes I never change the LED clock because I know it is an hour ahead or behind.

That’s what I’m like with my wristwatch …I never change that.

@TraceyJayne My family heirloom, a clock made in 1911 in Belgium and presented then to my great grandfather when he retired from the Pru, sits prominently in our back sitting room. Its hands are stopped at 10 past three, and although it is irritating and repairable I refuse to get it going again. It has a loud, annoying tick and a raspy gong which it emits on the hour and half hour. So I just tolerate it not telling the correct time.

Interesting that it still gongs , even when it’s stopped at 10 past 3.

It doesn't annoy me too much. Mostly it's not too important if the clock is a little bit slow or fast.

I can relate to having to look at a clock that is calling the correct time due to a faulty battery.

I have a watch, but I rarely wear it, it's too elegant so I feel bad using it at home.
