George and i just got home. After the doctor, he decided he wanted to just drive around a bit. I think it did us some good. We even stopped by our favorite resort on the beach and I got a late lunch. George got to sit by the pool and look out at the ocean, too. The doctor confirmed, both with his own eyes and the bloodwork, that George does not need to be on the amoxicillin, but because I've started the course I have to finish it. Due to the timing of the blood draw and the delay in getting the drug, he hadn't even gotten his first dose. His blood counts were perfect. He also confirmed my concern about pausing the blood thinner prior to the procedure, but the GI lab can't control bleeding as easily as an actual opporating room. So, fine. it's whatever. We had an ekg done as part of the clearance proticalls, and it was perfect. Normal sinous and as soon as I heard the nurse say that, I knew the afib hadn't returned. I know Afib can go away, and the doctor did agree that low weight and possible mal nutrition could've contributed to its appearance two weeks before his stroke. Honestly.... people really need to learn to listen to me.

Things are looking good for George now. I am sure the doctor is right about low weight and mal nutrition as a cause of Afib.
