It’s time for that announcement: this time next week it won’t be this time next week!* (*Offer valid in 48 US states.) Yes, it’s time to go back to those short afternoons and long nights. But as for today, we can dance! And here’s a song with “dance” in the title that’ll make you get up and dance!
#6: All She Wants to Do Is Dance - Don Henley
Although I’m not in the video, you can see my “skills” where the dancing girl bumps into the wall. Yep, that’s my graceful self, even if it’s not me personally.
I wonder if Don Henley ever realized that all his songwriting partner Danny Kortchmar did with this song was re-write the Eagles’ “The Disco Strangler” and make it a better song.
That song, a criticism of the cocaine-fueled Studio 54 scene, told us “Rome is burning, but that’s all right.” This one puts a much more precise spotlight on things: international tension (“rebels been rebels since I don’t know when”) and corruption (“that don’t keep the boys from making a buck or two…they still can sell the Army all the drugs that they can do”) goes on while the populace is merrily addicted to entertainment.
As I said with “We Didn’t Start the Fire,” it’s not new. Not even close. But at least you can dance it.

Me too, except I like the sunset cameras instead of TV.
Roscoe needs to boogie! Maybe he’ll like the instrumentals next month.

Oh goody, can't wait to hear what you found, I know I'z gonna like em all.
I love those sunsets and rises you've posted from your travels, is that what you're referring to?
I don't get to see either sunrise or set, too many obstructions cuz now I'z in a suburb instead of the rural area I moved to 28 years ago. I have the memories of yesteryear so that's ok with me.1 person likes this

@rebelann — there are a lot of live cameras on YouTube that show sunsets and sunrises (the only way I see a sunrise!
). I watch ‘em every night before I pray…definitely gets me in the mood to pray!
