Violet Constance Jessop was born in Bahia Blanca, Argentina in 1887. Her profession in life was that of an ocean liner stewardess and a nurse with the Volunteer Aid Detachment. She survived the sinking of the RMS Titanic in 1912, and that of her sister ship the HMHS Britannic in 1916, And most absurdly, that of the eldest of three sister ships, the RMS Olympia when it collided with the British warship, the HMS Hawke in 1911. Years after her retirement she claims she got a phone call one evening from a woman asking if she had saved the life of a baby on the night that the Titanic sunk. Violet said yes, she was. The woman told her she was that baby. She laughed and hung up. Milina Bean, a two-month-old on the Titanic could have been the one who called or, it could have been a prank. No one knows

I am a little confused! She replied yes that she was the one that saved a baby so why did she laugh and hang up on her?

Me too. I would venture to believe it was a prank call.
