It Would Just be "Too Cute"...

"No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than once." This is how the 22nd Amendment reads. But it is just a jumble of words unless people really respect them and stand by them. What is a democracy without that? But Trump makes his own rules. He said in an interview recently that for him to run a third term would be just "too cute". He said he could do it but.... Yes, it would. Way too cute! But in his corroded mind he would like to just let whichever Republican that gets allected next resign and then he would be put back in the Presidential role. And, if he would be elected as Vice President the 12th Amendment wouldn't let him in as it reads: "But no person constitutionally ineligible to the office of President shall be eligible to that of Vice-President of the United States." But he doesn't care about Amendments, laws or anything that gets in his way. He finds a loophole or just pushes his way in. What can and will stop him? That is my biggest question to date. Will he let VP J.D.Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubion be elected and then have them resign and him slide into the presidency again? Will he die off before the next Presidential election and just let things fly however they go? That would be my hope. If not, he is going to finagle so that his ideology is still going on after the 2028 election. Can we as a world live through more of this? The Democrats have shown how impotent they are (will that change any after mid-terms?) and so, what hope is there? It reminds me of the bubbling mud at Old Faithful. Just bubbling. I always go back to the saying "surely goodness and mercy......but .........is there any of that left in the world? Can I make it through the next 3 years? Can America and the world? UGH!!
