Correctional officers seldom get rewards for saving lives of strangers. In the case of Lancaster County Prison correction Officer Jaiden Droege answered a call from a concerned adult who was with a child whose gender was not released needed the help of the correctional officer to remove an object from the throat of the child on September 14. Officer Droege managed to remove the object from the throat of the child using his expertise to remove the object from the throat of the child. Lancaster County Officials awarded Officer Droege with the Star Performer Award at a meeting on Wednesday.
