It's Raining, It's Pouring, the old man is snoring

Happy Thursday everyone! what a miserable day. It's dark, dismal, cold, windy and rainy with the occasional rumble of thunder. Definitely not a day for having to go anywhere and perfect for a lazy day.
I hate to complain about my weather since other myLotters got clobbered by hurricane Melissa. I feel so bad for them and seeing the devastation is unreal.
I'm glad I got my errands done at the beginning of the week. Since it's so windy here I doubt we'll put the trash out tonight. it will have to wait another week. Neither my daughter nor I want to have to chase the pails down the road 
I love my Kindle but when I was reading my book last night it went dead. I was in the middle of a good chapter and the battery died. My fault. I didn't pay attention when it said battery was getting low. That never happens with a "real" book and I wouldn't have been left hanging until today to see what happens.
Since it's a nasty, cold day, I decided to make chili for dinner. I'll top it with some minced onion, shredded cheddar cheese and a dollop or two of sour cream. I know many here like cornbread with chili but since I don't have any we'll have Frito scoops on the side. Corn chips is about as close as I can get to cornbread
Hope the weather better there than here and that today brings you something to smile about

It's on the cool side by FLorida standards, but the sun is out and bright. We have some sun, but I'm thankful that we arely see cat 5 Hurricanes. I feel for those in Jamaka though.

Cat 5 is life threatening and it's really sad to see what's happened to those in Jamaica. Hurricanes are bad enough when they are even in the low numbers. I've lived through some being on the east coast in New York.

It isn’t raining here anymore, but it has. It’s just cool and damp. 
I like watching the sunset webcams, because it reminds me that the sun is still out somewhere.

I never thought to look at sunset Webcam. It certainly would be beautiful watching a gorgeous sunset while it's pouring rain and storming outside

@Marilynda1225 — one of my favorites, in the Keys. I really like the ones where you can “go back” (move the slider back) in case you’re too late to see it as it happens.

Yeah, you have to charge those Kindles. Hehe
It's cold and windy here. I think chili might be on our menu for tonight too.
