No Halloween for me this year.

I am not a Halloween person as when I was small, the culture of my country used this day to visit their loved dead ones.
But Halloween came here with other imported things. We now even import pumpkins that are not grown here. And anyway we are just beginning spring and any sort of gourds grow later on.
Today I had visitors And they were anti Halloween. And I had forgotten to buy candy.
So while we were talking seated around the table, the bell started to ring as if the house was on fire.
I went out and there were some quite small elves and ghosts with their parents. I imagine that it was the parents who rang the bell as the elves were not high enough to reach it. I went out and said that I was sorry but that I was ill in bed. The older people told me to get well and noone else came. It was a bright answer.
My eldest daughter sent me a couple of pictures of herself disguised as Katrina, the Mexican ghost of the dead.

When Pretty was younger, until her middle teens, we decorated for holidays and participated in quite a lot of them. After she became an adult, holidays just weren't as fun so we stopped doing anything for them.
I slept from early afternoon until around midnight tonight and have been watching videos since then.
I hope you enjoyed your company and had a lovely day.

I don't get any trick or treaters; and I don't decorate for Halloween.

@LindaOHio I have not had any sort of Christmas decorations for several years now. I don´t miss them now that I´m alone.

@marguicha I didn't even put my little Christmas tree up last year. I won't this year either now that my hubby is gone.

Some Halloweens are good and others not so much.

I suppose. If it is part of your culture it is fine.

We live too far out for anyone to come for Halloween.

I never buy candy to hand out any more. We are too far out for people to stop. That was a great answer you gave.

In my neighborhood for a while teens came out to do damage if you did not give them something. I hid and did not turn on lights at night.
