Well, the anual bills are paid.

I checked our snail mail, and the letter from the tax collector came. It contained the property tax bill which I always pay as soon as it comes in. I get a 4 percent discount (on top of the tax discounts) for doing it, so why not make it easy on myself? All that's left is the power bill, but I need to wait for that to come in. But, that's cool. I'm not exactly in a rush to spend my money.
George was happy today, asking questins about his procedure and things like that. So he's well-aware of what's going on.

I'll be happy to see them go down next year, but they weren't too bad. Considering where we live.

@kaylachan Ours comes out 2 times a year, one is smaller than the other, you have like 3 months or it is late.

Life happens, but at least in Florida, you have a timeline. Ours isn't offically late until April 1st of the following year, but we get a discount if we pay it by November 30th.

It's always good to pay bills ASAP. I try to do that by having them automatically taken out each month.
I'm glad to hear that George is happy and aware of things going on with his procedure. That's great.

I actually hate auto pay. In some cases, it's a good thing while others it's not. I like having more control of my money and when it comes out. Instead of wondering if I'll have enough by the due date. By paying the bills the earlist possible, it helps me know exactly how much money I have. It helps me plan for purcheses like gas and groceries well in advance.

@kaylachan ......There are some companies I don't use their auto pay and others I do. I pay mine the earliest too. Very few come out the second half of the month. It's all about what is convenient and easiest for the individual.

@celticeagle That's why things like flex due dates exist. Everyone's payment schedule is different.

That's good. Thankfully for us, our home owners and property tax are due about the same time.

I always pay the taxes right away so I don't forget about them. We don't get a discount.
