Who is capable of such cruelty?

Recently an ownerless female dog has been coming to my door. You may find it strange that I'm not calling her b...h. This word sounds impolite and it is often used by noisily quarelling women. Perhaps I should give her a name. She has a light yellowish body with white spots. What makes her look special is a white 'tika' on her forehead. Lets call her "Julia". Julia comes but doesn't beg. I believe she comes because as she gets hungry. I give her whatever food I can. She probably feels more hungry as she is pregnant. This morning as I led our foster home children through free hand workout I saw Julia limping. She was walking in three legs with her right front leg lifted. How could she have got a hurting leg? Dogs don't hurt each other. No one else but a "inhuman" being could be so cruel. Just look around, proofs are there for all to see , only our species is capable of such cruelty upon other members of humankind and animals.

Dogs will and do get into fights over food and territory. She could have gotten into a fight with another dog over scraps someone gave them. That's the reason I keep asking @vandana7 to be very careful when she's passing out food/scraps to the dogs she's befriended. Hungry dogs could easily start fighting over the food she's passing out and vanny could get hurt, too.

They don't have to be hungry...they are just possessive...as if we are married to them. Imagine female Vampire Queen married to female b tch. As yet humanity has not accepted female human being married to female human being. LOL But...they are damn possessive....sigh.

Myth 1...dogs don't hurt each other...........they do....they are very insecure....about food as well as love...so if you show love to another dog in front of them, they had it....provided they are weaker of the two, by age, size...etc. 2. Dogs do tend to confuse humans at times, because they themselves are caught off guard. Then the driver of the vehicle may end up hurting the poor creature....without feeling remorse...after all, there was justification. Or was it. One leg injury is possibly the result of that. God almighty in all his wisdom decided that humans can take care of themselves. So our injuries cause us more pain, and we suffer longer. Dogs recover faster NATURALLY, most of the time. So please don't get worked up. She would be fine. Being pregnant ...she does need sufficient food and decent amount of clean water. Taking her to a vet maybe needed but difficult proposition. I would advise you against it. They don't get into our vehicles...and if they do, they may disturb the driver. Traveling is something they should have been doing as little pups...stray dogs ...we have to leave them to their fate. Hell, even medication is difficult to administer because they have sharp sense of smell. I have not managed to do deworming.

@DaddyEvil We lost the case in Supreme Court...the dogs will be taken to non existent shelters, meaning they will be taken and poison injected in their hearts.....you get what I mean?

Most people I know wrap deworming pills into pork and feed that to the dogs but, be aware, the dog can still taste the deworming pill and may work it out of the meat in their mouth and still spit it out.

I´m quite afraid of street dogs for several reasons. But what I do is to call a place where they can take care for it and find a home.

I agree on that point fully. Cases of attacks or bitings by street dogs are many. In fact, I saw two cases of dog bite recently in our local hospital .

You are staying in Kolkata and some people there are very cruel and hurt dogs. My younger son rescued a street dig in Kolkata whose hind leg was injured by a rickshaw puller. My son took him to a vet but in vain. Today the dog is with my son in Denmark walking on three legs.
