I am watching something on Netflix called A Mothers son.
The Mother thinks that her son might be involved in a murder of a young girl ….
He can’t explain where he was, he put a wash on …removing blood from clothing,
It got me wondering ….. if you thought your child was involved in a murder would you report it ?

I called the police on my son and testified against him in court. He robbed our house, stole my truck and took it to Ohio to sell it. He spent 4 years in prison and still won't talk to me. *shrug*
Yes, I would call the police for a suspected murder suspect, too.

My dad would totally call the police on me. He told me when I was a teen that if I were ever arrested to get comfortable because he was not coming to bail me out. He wanted me to live my life with integrity, and if I had done something illegal, he’d want me to turn my life around. If that meant calling the cops, he’d do it. It would hurt him terribly, but he’d do it.

Yes I would and have, on one son and one daughter, get out of line and so something stupid and you need to face the consequences. Always picking on my hubby that the two that look like him was our problem children. lol That said son still gets into a lot of problems but daughter has grown up. Guess 1 out of 8 isn't bad. lol

In a word. Yes. I would. If I were to raise children, my goal would not be to raise anything less than productive, law-abiding citizens, and just like I would ground or punish a child for misbehavior, I would advocate for legal processes to hand out consequences as well.
