So 2nd post after a long long time being gone. Commenting to someone and I said "time to take back my life". Took me writing that and then re reading it to realize it is totally time for me to do so. So much has happened in the last 10 years that I lost me. Technically since my dad passed, my mom had a heart attack and I started homeschooling while being so sick. Time to totally find me and make things better for us as a family again.
I did a few months ago start with my health and trying to get stronger and healthier, without that you really have nothing. I think some is seeing my mom how she is really hits home. I don't drink or anything but need to get more active and into better shape. Making sure my husband isn't so stubborn and worried about money that he doesn't go to the chiropractor, when his back starts up.
Finding things to do in the winter so I don't get so depressed. Although since we got a furnace it isn't so bad for me with depression now and I will be plenty busy this winter. That is for another entry.
Just found it funny replying to someone could hit me like that. YEP it is time to take back my life and find me again.

I hope things work out for you and your family.
I keep talking about starting to lift weights again and would really like to get back into that. It's something I can do even when I can't see or can't see well.

it is easier working out when the weather is cold. The activity keeps the body warm :-)

@Ithink I have a bench and three full sets of weights. My daughter bought a bunch of bands.
I used to be a body builder and competed.

Ever since I lost my husband and wound up completely alone I find that positive thinking and getting myself busy online and organized help a lot, I do have to fight sometimes with my anxiety but usually I manage, So I thank the Lord each and every day for being there for me, At least you are not alone you have your husband so do what you can for yourself and I wish you all the very best,

Im so sorry for your loss, I try not to think of our age at this point, and one of us passing. I keep busy with reading and such in the winter but that sure isn't helping my health by sitting more. So this year clearing out the house and working on things. Im thankful for everyday I have him, he is my rock. Hoping the best for you.

Hi, I'm sorry to read you have depression to deal with. I can maybe suggest you to join a group of people who walk or run together, maybe you can have a dog for a pet, like a golden retriever.
Were you gone for 10 years from mylot ? I was gone for some years, I don't know why exactly, I had a lot of spare time at work.

Thank you, it has gotten better now that I can stay a bit warmer, started taking Vitamin D in the winter months too. We actually have 2 dogs and 4 cats, most strays. I cant go out much in the winter as I have circulation problems in the legs and feet, so hoping for a treadmill at some point. Its been about 6 -7 years since I have been gone, but back now and hopefully I can jump back into this. I enjoy meeting and reading about other people.

@Ithink welcome back then, mylot is for thinkers, just like you. May your pets give you happiness and joy, take care of them. Winter is getting close, we are in november already. It is a good time for activity even at home, it can help you feel good.

You have been having a hard time. Often when that happens and people are depending on you, you do get lost in the shuffle and there is very little or no time for YOU. And we all need that. I am struggling with that, myself. Some days are better than others, but the worries pile up and sometimes I just have to stop and regroup. Looking forward to chatting with you in future posts. Take good care of yourself!

Yeah, life can knock the wind outta you sometimes. But it sounds like you’re finally breathing again and figuring out who you are — that’s huge.
