Have you ever been compared to somebody in appearance, but you thought it was unflattering?

Yesterday, while I was at the polls I saw an acquaintance of mine with his wife. Now, this guy is in his 80's and according to his report he has dementia, but is still pretty with it. I said HI to him,and he said Joanne?,who is another group member we both know, I said no, and told him my name. Now,Joaanne is reasonable attractive, probably about the same size, and has my general look I think..except she used to have issues with BP. I think no so much now since she has gone vegetarian. However, the thing is, she has got to be at least 10 years older than I am. She doesn't really look it, but is in her late70's for sure. Most people think I am in my early 50's so, that comparison wasn't really appreciated. He has dementia though...so I guess he can be forgiven..

All the time, people say I look like the baseball player, Alberto Pujols which is both flattering and a insult lol

I love Albert Pujols! I don’t see the resemblance though, so rest easy.

Yes, I have. I have been compared to Trisha Yearwood about four times throughout my life, and I wasn’t thrilled. My sister has met Trisha Yearwood several times though, and said she’s prettier in person. The dementia did it, girl, for sure. I’ve seen your picture, and you don’t look that old.

Well, Trisha Yearwood has the chubby problem..but she's pretty enough. I could see where you might not like it though.

@snowy22315 Yes, to be fair, she is pretty. Her face being so full was what bothered me. Although, the first time I was compared to her at age 13, Trisha was actually thin.

Oh, they generally walk around clueless, unless it involves some tech or mechanical thing. Then many of them are large and in charge. My mother used to have this plaque that said ."Who do you want to talk to, the man of the house, or the woman who knows what's going on?"
