Today, 5th November, is Bonfire Night. On this day we remember that in 1605 Guy Fawkes and his friends were going to blow up the Houses of Parliament. The Gunpowder Plot. Unfortunately, someone snitched and they got caught before they could do the deed. Some fled and some were captured. Oh how we wish we could turn the clock back….. Maybe we could find someone else willing to give it a go…. Do you celebrate bonfire Night ?

The only time we ever had bonfires was summer camp. A bonfire in 100 degree heat (38 C) is such a bad idea.

He wanted to restore a Catholic monarch to the throne. So I guess we would all be Catholic if he had succeeded.
