A California Highway Patrol (CHP) officer answered an emergency call in Fresno California on Wednesday November 5 when an owl was flying at a low altitude at night and the owl was stuck on the grille of the same auto.
The CHP officer went to the scene of the accident which was on state highway 99. The officers were able to remove the owl from the grille of the auto safely.
After the owl was removed from the grille of the auto, the owl went flying away under its own power.

I am sure that the vehicle had slowed down just before the owl was struck.

Probably the owl did spill something and was chasing the object at the time of the collision.
