A Martinsville Police Officer and two Morgan County Sheriff's Office (MCSO) deputies were in the section of a mobile home on Sunday overnight when they saw a mobile home on fire. One deputy grabbed a fire extinguisher from inside from his squad car in an attempt to put out the fire from the outside. Two other officers ran inside the mobile home that was on fire inside as the officers found one man who was asleep while the other man was unconscious. A deputy managed to get the unconscious out of danger by getting him out of the burning home with the help of the other deputy. The other man managed to get out of the burning home under his own power. The cause of the fire was likely started by an open top stove that was on and burned the interior wall. Other first responders arrived to take the unconscious man to a local hospital to be treated for his injuries in the fire. The man who was asleep but got out of the burning home was released after the first responders checked him out. Thank goodness no one died in the fire. Link is msn.com/en-us/news/cri...

A good result that both men were saved from the fire. It was good the officer had a working fire extinguisher in his squad car.
