What is it, we asked. It's a bridge.

Here’s another photo that might have you guessing. It’s a bridge over the road and there is a lot of mining happening on either side of the road. There is a Haulpack truck on the bridge but I was too late to get the massive vehicle in a better position. Most people here would know this as a ‘Haulpack’ but such vehicles are now more usually made by the Komatsu company.

I had no idea what a Haulpack was. It got Hubby and I in a discussion right now as I asked him . . . apparently there is a company near his work that makes electric mining vehicles - not Haulpack but sort of like it.

I need a better photo of a Haulpack but you don't see them on normal roads. I'm glad your husband could enlighten you.

It seems more strongly built than many of our 'common' ones.

I never heard of Haulpack trucks, those seem to be large trucks. We call the bridges over the roads Viadotti o cavalcavia.

@JudyEv - Yes, in France they are called viaducts. I have found a photo online, it's really a massive truck.

@LadyDuck At such a distance the truck doesn't seem very impressive so I'm pleased you went looking for a photo.

And we saw 'viaducts' in France. The trucks are massive. I need a better photo of one.

Yes, we do have a lot of minerals and I think West Australia has the majority.

A lot of our dams are built that way...except no road going through it.

Mining is huge here but a lot of the areas are kept under wrap as much as possible.
