Manwich Baked Chicken Thighs???

Make something normal for dinner? Oh, come now. That would defy everything I stand for. I am having enough of a hard time with @FourWalls introducing a series of instrumentals which I thought for sure would endlessly torture me but has instead tortured me with the realization that there are a good number of instrumentals out there I actually like. I'm working through that as we speak. My wife loves Manwich, and there's a lot that we do with it to incorporate it into a meal. As strange as it may sound, we never make Sloppy Joe's out of it. So, tonight, I decided to make Manwich baked chicken thighs, and I am also baking some potatoes. I used half of the sauce on the chicken, and for the other half I sauteed some onions and then added the sauce to the pan which will be drizzled onto the baked potatoes. We'll have buttered peas too. Does this really sound all that strange to you? I mean, what's the difference between barbecue sauce and Manwich, really, except that the flavor profile is a little bit different? What's going on your dinner table tonight?

Yum! Sounds great! But I am not much on peas! I will choose a different veggie! Yes that is strange you don't make sloppy joes. I always make them with Manwich sauce! Put sprinkle cheese on top!

I guess I am just not a huge fan of sloppy Joe's. Too messy, for one, and it seems silly to eat a sandwich with a fork. lol

@porwest I use a fork I don't care if it's silly or not.Lol! Oh yeah I forgot to tell you what I had. I was too tired to cook last night so I just got a TV dinner that was Country Fried Chicken, Mashed potatoes and corn. It was good.

@dfollin Ultimately you're right about that. So long as the food makes it to my mouth, I guess it really doesn't matter how it gets there. lol

It doesn't sound strange to me. I'm having my usual sandwich, veggie straws and yogurt tonight.

That is strange because I have always used mamwich sauce with ground beef and buns.

We use it all sorts of ways. One of our favorite things is a Manwich loaded baked potato. We'll cook up diced chicken or pork, and yes, even ground beef, with the Manwich sauce and then add it on top of a baked potato with all the other usual goodies like onions, and cheese, maybe even some sour cream. That's good eats.

Not a Manwich fan myself, It does sound rather tasty because I love to put together all kinds of ingredients and usually they come out very well. Today I just had some chicken wings made in chicken broth in my slow cooker,

It only sounds strange because I have absolutely no idea what Manwich is, I'll have to look it up.

@porwest You're right, Sloppy Joe is not a thing here either. Is that just basically minced beef in a sauce?

It is basically a brand of sloppy Joe sauce. Definitely an American cuisine, so it might not be something that's popular in the UK.

Yeah. It's basically a sloppy Joe sauce, and I am not sure sloppy Joe sandwiches are really a thing in the UK.

They all sound good. Though I have never tried any of those. And being a vegetarian, I can try the other two dishes and leave the main attraction, chicken. Enjoy it It's lunch time here. But I am not hungry. I will have late one. I have cooked lentil soup, rice, salad, eggplant fry, and saute cabbage. There is curd and cucumber salad too.
