It's time for winter flower gardening

Actually, I'm late in doing it. I should have started preparing pots and beds in the last week of October. Yet, as the saying goes, better late than never , I'm doing whatever I can.
I trimmed the rose shrubs and dug the soil around to spread manure. I have brought bone dust to "feed" the roots.
We also have got petunia, marigold and chrysanthemums as well. We plan to take some help from children of our foster home. By Christmas, we hope to have some flowers ready to decorate the lawn and the house.
Are you doing something on this line?

I fertilised some of the garden yesterday. I have tomatoes ripening on the vine now and my rose bush is covered in blooms. I'm going to deadhead it today.
