The turkish government has raised an alarm that roughly half of families in the country dont have children. Most families believe that lack of economic opportunities and the capital to raise children are the major reasons for their decisions.

That seems to be happening with most countries.

I think economic conditions as you rightly point out is a big reason why this is happening. Young people in my country (U.S.) cannot afford the price of a home due to inflation rates. Also, the economy makes job security questionable making having children a financial burden. Others desire a different lifestyle, prioritizing careers, personal interests and leisure over raising children.

With the tyrannical leadership in Turkey, who would want to rear a child there?

It seems that in Indonesia it is likely more than 50%, because what we have seen in the years since the pandemic is that the divorce rate has increased.

In my country (Chile, South America) people are not much interested in having kids now. I see the youngsters around me get a pet instead.

In Italy most young couples do not have children, as they both need to work and there are no kindergartens where to place the kids, there is no way they want kids.
