Please sort out my Moms medication !

I think it was either last week or the week before I posted about the fact that the hospital had prescribed a tablet for Moms heart following an appointment in August. The tablets had been sitting on a shelf in the pharmacy since September …..we got them in November, Well, Mom just had a phone call from the Dr saying that the tablet clashes with others she is taking so they are reducing the dosage. We did ask about this last week ! I just want it sorted so I know she is going to be okay taking the medication.

If it clashes at all with other meds, why was it prescribed for her? That doesn't make sense. When I switched doctors last year, I asked her to review the meds I'd been prescribed and make sure none of them clashed with each other. She took me off one BP med and said it wasn't good for me.

It was the hospital that prescribed the tablets ….we went last week to the pharmacy to order the new lot of usual tablets not even aware that these had been prescribed, found out they had been sitting on a shelf since September. Went back and checked if they were okay or going to clash and was told yes they are fine to take.

@Traceyjayne Yes, I remember the discussion you wrote about them. I wonder if the prescription was for a short time only so they didn't believe the short duration of the script would hurt anything? I have had doctors prescribe "dangerous" meds to me that I was only supposed to take with regular testing while I was taking them. (I have one prescription like that now. I take it for a month, get blood tests done and then the doctor will prescribe them again if she thinks I still need them.)
