Yes. Today is Sunday and that means a Sunday roast. Today we had a real treat as The Mister went to the farm shop near to where he was working and got a huge leg of lamb. Lamb is very expensive here at any time but even more so now. We don’t have it very often.the pieces in the supermarket are small and not the best quality. This leg of lamb was so tender and delicious …… With the lamb we had mashed potatoes …..to mix the mint sauce in ….kale, cauliflower, gravy. For pudding Mom had made a rice pudding and we had damson ham with that. Oh I do love Sundays. What did you have for your meals today ?

Last night I had a frozen dinner...spinach and noodle something or other. It was pretty good; but then I realized I'm not supposed to have spinach.

@Traceyjayne Yes. Spinach is one of the things I"m not supposed to have with my kidney disease.

@Traceyjayne I am not that adventurous as a cook. But I sure did enjoy leg of lamb and mint sauce!

@TheHorse oh okay. I love mint sauce but only mixed in with mashed potatoes. I like the meat plain.

I also love lambs. And roasting it is a good way to cook it.

Junk all junk here..I haven't had a decent lamb roast for years..the lamb here is pure bo88ocks. I miss the lovely lamb roasts I used have for Sunday dinner in England..the NZ lamb was so lovely.

@traceyjayne I made moussaka - I’ve already complained about the onions in my last post. I do love lamb. We usually have it on Christmas Day.

@Traceyjayne I’d never eat it any other way. Just had a mediocre Indian in Edinburgh. Very mediocre.

It's great when you can get your meat direct from the producer.

It seems to be forever since I had lamb. I’d love to have it again. I’ve only eaten chips and dip today.

Lamb would go to waste here. I like it as long as it's fresh from the oven but once it cools, it has a terrible after-taste. Pretty won't eat it at all. I'm glad you enjoyed it, though. I made chicken, broccoli and Cheddar soup for late lunch. It was delicious.
