Not been feeling well. The medication I got for the UTI is working except left side still hurts pretty bad. Had to take Ibprofen tonight which isn't good for the kidneys, but Tylenol just doesn't work for me.
Our friend's funeral is tomorrow, but it is up in Alabama, so we won't be going. They will have a Memorial at the AmVet Post..just not sure when at this point.
I have been busy catching up on chores, and got all the ingredients for the Corn Pudding we are taking to Thanksgiving Dinner at the Post on Thursday.
Looks like my Grandson won't be here for Turkey Day..MAYBE Christmas, but if not then in April on his B-day. His company is in the middle of signing a contract..hoping it goes through, as he might have to find another job if it doesn't and he just bought a house...ANYWAY.
We had BBQ Chicken Thighs last night, and Pork Chops in Mushroom gravy tonight with Collard Greens and Mashed Taters.
It sure did rain tonight, and looking to get more later on early morning. Sure did need it.

For whatever reason, I am the same. Ibuprofen always works better for me than anything else for pain. All of them have their downsides anyway, I guess. So, you pick a downside in finding a solution that works, I suppose. lol.
Sorry to hear about the grandson, and hopefully everything works out for him, all things considered. Life always takes turns. You always have to be ready to take the bull by the horns, so to speak.
Anyway. Onward and upward.

You are right..ALL the pain meds have a downside. My grandson lives in California. I tried to talk him out of taking that job and take the offer he had from a place in Pensacola. But the one in Calif offered more money. Of course with taxes like they are in good old Cally...I think he could have done just as good here in FL. Could still happen..sure would like him closer to me. But so proud of him no matter.

@Ghostlady Jobs are not important. What one does with the money and paychecks is. If one does it right, a paycheck is a bonus. Hopefully he knows that.
Earn as much as you can. Keep as much of what you earn as you can. Live BELOW your means. Save and invest what you don't need. And if you do it this way, paychecks will be a bonus, not a necessity.
That's my two cents for the day.
You don't get ahead by working. You get ahead by INVESTING in successful businesses. Paychecks help you to stay afloat. They do nothing to get you ahead.
You only get ahead when you own something.

@Ghostlady We have prickly creatures called echidnas which is the nearest we get to hedgehogs. That's great that you got the question correct. Good for you.

I was playing a trivia game last night and it asked "What country does not have HedgeHogs. I saw Australia on the list and knowing your possums are so different than ours, I picked it and sure enough there are No HedgeHogs in Australia.

hope your turkey day goes well, I had 3 chicken legs last night with B B Q sauce
& that was my dinner, not much going on here but the weather & all the thanks
giving to god for all his love in giving me a life that has kept me going.
