Firefighters rescue a woman driver who fell into a pond in New York

Firefighters from the Saratoga Springs Fire Department answered an emergency call on Sunday afternoon November 23 when a woman driver had an accident when she drove her auto into a pond at Skidmore College.
The firefighters went to Haupt Pond where the SUV was 3/4 submerged in the pond with the woman screaming for help.
Saratoga Springs Fire Department Captain Jeff Alonzo led the rescue team who wore ice rescue suits to enter the pond to get the woman to the back of the auto before they broke the back window which flooded the auto.
The firefighters were able to get the woman out of the auto safely. The woman after she was recued was taken by an ambulance to Saratoga Hospital with warming packs in her body.
According to Captain Alonzo, the medical report says that the woman likely suffered a cold.
College officials said that the woman who drove her auto into the pond was a visitor got lost driving on the road was an accident.

That is true since being trapped inside of an auto that is underwater is very scary for the driver to be in.

An apt name for the accident, Skidmore College, as the car probably skidded more, as it rolled into the pond, and I wonder what the woman was doing, doing this, as it sounds like she was distracted by something, not seeing the pond in front of her.
At least, she was saved from possibly drowning in her car.

The firefighters are grateful that the pond is shallow which made it easier for the rescue to be made.
