The Piqua Area Chamber Of Commerce officials have announced on Tuesday November 25 that Julio DeLeon who rescued a man who was inside of a house that exploded last week will be awarded by city officials the Jan Mulder Citizenship Award.
Julio will be receiving his award in December for his actions to rescue the occupant of the house that exploded.
I am sure that Julio was doing his duty to assist a stranger who needed his assistance when the house exploded and he does not consider himself a hero.

I am in agreement with you since it takes a lot of courage to enter a house that blew up and rescue the victim.

The house looks like a total mess, and a disaster, and I wonder what caused such a house explosion. It was good the occupant was rescued, and Julio deserves such an award.
