Alzheimer's disease is the most common form of dementia. It is not a normal part of getting old and only about 1/3 of those 85 and older show signs of the disease. The things that play a part in determining whether a person you might get this debilitating disease or not are genes, exercise, diet, your social life and some other illnesses. But air pollution can also pay a part. A study found that older adults who happen to live in areas with a higher concentration of air pollution are 1.4 times more likely to get dementia than those living in areas with cleaner air.

I think air pollution would probably affect a lot of things healthwise.
