Starting to see more lights popping up.

With two days left in the month, I'm starting to see more lights popping up on neighbor's houses. My next door neighbor, as you know, put out his decorations early. And the neighbor on the other side of the street , his next door neighbor on the other side, has done theirs. As the ones across the street. But, it looks like one of the houses behind us (the one we share a fence with) might have as well. I saw something when I went to check the mail tonight.
Makes me wonder how many more might be doing the same?

A lot of people around here decorate shortly after Halloween, which I think is too early personally. But people do it all the time. The guy down the street has a couple of 10- or 12-foot skeletons he decorates for Halloween with, and for Christmas he puts white beards and red hats on them. lol

I'm not out at night; so I don't see the lights. I do see the inflatables, etc.

Even when they're not on, George can see who has strung them up and will tell me about it.

As Christmas approaches nearer, you will see many more lights popping up around you. Here also my Christian friends have started decorating their houses.

Many people here are big on putting up lots of lights. A lot of them will put them up in late October, not decorations, just lights. They don't turn them on yet, but they put them up early to avoid the time in the cold.
When the kids were little, we did some lights and outside decorating. I just hang up a wreath at this point. I enjoy seeing other's lights and decorations.

yea it's that time of year again
but we don't put up our lights
cause we leave ours up every
year we just don't leave them
on, all we have to do is plug
them in every year.

For some reason, George enjoyed the process of decorating our house every year. We haven't in a long time.
